NQTS, LLC National Quality Technical Services provides Quality Management Services, that was founded in July 2017.

This new start business is run by President/Owner, James (Jim) Peters who has spent the preceding 40 years working for the world's most prestigious Engineering, Procurement and Construction Company, Bechtel Corporation.  Jim started his quality career working as a Quality Surveillance Representative performing surveillances in Supplier shops across the North East and spending a tour at the Midland Nuclear Power Plant.  After the Midland tour was completed he was promoted to a nuclear qualified Lead Auditor where he honed the skills to be one of the most respected quality people in the industry.  He extensively traveled the United States and the globe auditing quality programs of all different types of equipment manufacturers and services providers that supply the nuclear industry.  Bechtel again reached out for Jim to manage Supplier Quality operations for their Power Business Unit.  There is yet another promotion to Corporate Supplier Quality management where he was responsible for global Supplier Quality operations.  Through all these years quality assurance programs were reviewed and developed, nuclear and commercial ISO audits performed, training programs were developed and presented, Suppliers were assessed and consulted on how to improve.  

Along this road travelled Jim has met quo pro quality professionals that he teamed with and relied upon.  The key is a  professional team that meets their goals for success.  These professionals provide the services to the high standards any Customer expects.

Bechtel had Jim involved with NIAC - Nuclear Industry Assessment Corporation the nuclear industry audit sharing group of companies.  Jim is on the Steering Committee, a Board of Directors and Secretary.  As the Secretary who is one of the center pieces of NIAC he is continually asked information and advice of the 172 members.  All potential new members have to come through the Secretary who guides the prospective member to fulfillment.

Jim has also been involved with the EPC industries PEG - Procurement Executives Group, meeting as the Supplier Quality Surveillance Subcommittee.  This committee is comprised of counterpart Supplier Quality Managers from the industry that meet quarterly to discuss supplier issues, processes and ideas for improvements.  Efforts of this Subcommittee resulted into being involved with the CII - Construction Industry Institute Research Team 308 "Achieving Zero Rework through Effective Supplier Quality Practices".  Here the research team looked into, how do the EPC companies approach Supplier Quality operations, identified the "Best Practices" that should be employed and developed analytics on "How to Estimate the Cost of Non-quality".

Prior to Bechtel Jim worked at Fairchild Republic a military aircraft aerospace company and was a Ground Test Engineer and worked on the A-10 Thunderbolt Attack Aircraft working on the 40 hour mockup preflight test program and fatigue test program.  Also involved in designing transducer placements on the NASA Space Shuttle tail section.
